Sometimes we need to choose one over the other! When we are dealing with life threatening issues, addressing the symptoms to protect ourselves is critical. Addressing the root cause of the problems is a long journey, and needs a slow & steady approach. If we only look at short term benefits, we might lose the big picture, however – if we look at the long term benefits alone, we might not have the necessary resources to address it. Fixing the symptoms while committing to work on a long term solution seems to be the right way. How much time & resources we are able to invest in it, makes the difference!
