Interesting conversations – #1

Some normal day to day conversations have the power to convey a story.

All of us (even families) see and get to know us by the roles we play in each other’s lives. We seldom find time to know, understand and respect the people in our lives beyond our roles.

The most underrated of these relationships is that of a parent and child. How well do we know what our parents are skilled at, what our children are good at and how often do we engage in a conversation about the same.

When someone in our extended circle acknowledges and appreciates the parent or the child, it triggers a pleasant feeling, and makes us wonder how did we miss knowing more about them!
