A bottle of water

One bottle of water has the power to make us feel helpless!

Few years back, as a large family, we all decided to visit the Taj Mahal. It was scorching and the heat was getting us dehydrated significantly. We were finding it hard to walk around the premises together as a group and split up into smaller groups.

In the shade of a tree, I sat down on one of the roads, unable to move a step anymore. I was thirsty and there was no place to get water anywhere nearby. There was no one moving around for me to ask for help!

I looked up at the sky and thought… I want water. Am really parched and unable to walk a step further.

I am looking for a sign from YOU! Please help!

I close my eyes and pray!

When I opened my eyes, there was a teenage girl who had come to stand next to me – under the shade of the same tree. She did not have a handbag, or bag, or any other accessory.

She just had a bottle of water, half full and came to stand right next to me. Was it a coincidence or a miracle?

I got my sign that I was waiting for and smiled to myself, thanking HIM!

I called her and asked her if she would be willing to share some water as I was extremely thirsty!

She looked at me for a few seconds and smiled. Then she offered the bottle of water.

I could have finished drinking the whole bottle, but had a few gulps to quench my thirst and gave back half of whatever she gave me!

She smiled again and left.

When we ask, our prayers are answered – however simple they may be. We just need to know how to ask!

Was reminded of this incident yesterday, when I saw two children come by and said they were thirsty and whether they could have some water to drink.

With the Grace of God, I got the opportunity to pay it forward 🙏🏻
