Have you watched the sunlight through the leaves?
There is a quiet kind of magic in the Japanese word komorebi, the gentle sunlight that slips through the leaves of trees, creating shifting patterns of gold and shadow on the ground. It describes more than a natural scene; it captures a fleeting moment where light, nature and time meet.
What makes it beautiful is that it cannot be held. The leaves move, the sun changes, and the pattern disappears almost as soon as we notice it. Yet, for a brief moment, it invites us to stop and simply be present.
Perhaps that is why the word feels so comforting. Life is filled with passing moments that we often overlook while chasing bigger milestones. Komorebi reminds us that small, quiet experiences can carry deep meaning, and sometimes the most beautiful parts of life are the ones that gently find us.
We have always found moments worth naming.

I hope today gives all of us a moment of its own kind, a small, unexpected patch of brightness after a long day, our own komorebi 🙂
