Years roll by with memories filling them
Some pleasant and others with scope to learn
Reminiscing is good on a Sunday afternoon
However weekdays need us to get back into the zone
Think about the times when you were in a flow
With not much of thought about inner peace or life purpose
Doing just our duty, never unsure about what next
Always having a plan or dream that continued to inspire
Those were truly the simpler times
When life was just lived in the moment
Makes me ponder what has changed
Realization makes me wonder
The story and reason we tell ourselves
About choosing something over the other
Should no longer push us away
From living purposefully today!
