Works like a charm every single time. While we might get stressed out about the work not happening on time and worry about it, try to be nice – it helps us maintain our calm mindset and helps the other person not go through an anxiety attack just to work and complete the assigned work.
This works the same way while dealing with children and their homework as well. They observe and learn from us. When we lose our calm in front of them and shout at them, they see it as a behavior they get to emulate.
