While it is a very common condition these days, not many see it as an issue anymore.

Per Ayurveda, Insomnia is caused by an increase of vata dosha in the mind or nervous system. It is a cause or complicating factor in many other conditions. It may be related to constipation, may be a result of stress or being overtired, or it may cause fatigue, leading to greater stress. While it may be a symptom of depression, or it may intensify it.
Some of these simple home remedies help
1. Warm milk
Drinking a glass of warm milk before going to bed helps bring on a peaceful sleep. Have it as plain milk, or add a pinch of nutmeg to it & drink it warm.
