Literally! Our palms and feet have nerve endings that run through all our body systems and organs. When we find the right points and massage them, we will be able to relieve the pain and improve the health of the respective organs. Interesting concept, I might not have believed it and would have laughed it off if I had not personally used it. My father in law got me the “Health in your Hands” book by Dr. Devendra Vora. That book changed my life!
The concept of pressure points in our body and systemically improving our health works perfectly when we use it right! Sharing some of the things I have got to learn thus far…

These parts of your palms are connected to the organ names listed in the chart above. Massaging your palms with a moisturizer or few drops of oil (coconut oil / sesame oil) applies pressure on all the pressure points.
Doing it for 2-3 days activates your body to signal pain in the organs through those pressure points. When you wake up in the morning, before getting out of bed, check if any specific parts of your palms or feet are paining. Those organs in your body needs your extra attention. Massage that place of your palm/foot for 1-2 minutes and proceed with the day. Any small issues, will automatically be fixed by massaging your pressure points.

Same concept holds true for your feet as well. In fact, you tend to feel the soreness in some parts of your feet when you wake up in the morning. Massage those points for 1-2 minutes and then get on with your day. Your body needs you to pay attention to it and when it gives you signals that it needs extra attention, heeding the signals help reduce long term complications.
Mothers who have babies falling sick often, can massage their babies / kids feet while they are sleeping. Touch should be like a feather touch (so that their nerves are not damaged). When babies/kids are sick, massage the specific points on their feet or palms and slowly help increase their internal immunity.
