Recovering from a health issue

When the recovery goes beyond hours and days to weeks and months, it does feel tiring! Some tips to remember and keep yourself motivated!

It will be challenging at first, however as days go by, figuring out a new routine helps!

There is no short answer or a magic wand to get yourself back to your old healthy self!

It is a painful road, and you are forced to walk through it and come out healthier through this experience!

When someone says it is the journey that matters, not the destination… it fits perfectly! Make your journey enjoyable as you deal with your health issue and are working to get yourself better!

No one but you would know, realize and understand how you are feeling! So, try to express and communicate how you are feeling! Give those around you a chance to get to understand you and what you are going through! You will be able to sustain company during and after your health issue!

Learn to ask for help! As difficult as it may sound, and for some it may hurt their pride, it is necessary to know when and how to ask for help!

You might not see or feel the progress you are making! However, those around you can feel the difference!

While you take it one step at a time, remember all you are trying is to be better than yesterday or the day the before!

Small and simple consistent steps go a long way towards recovery! Do not shy away from taking baby steps!

When you feel it is important, listen to your gut feeling and take rest or talk to a physician!

While you may not be exactly who you were before your health issue, try to like the new you and learn to adopt and adapt based on what you are still capable of doing!

Life is not a race, and no one around you knows your story and your battles! So, do not shy away from being your own yardstick, your own inspiration and keep yourself motivated to do and be a bit better than you were before!

Amidst all you are going through, find some time and space to think and be of help to someone else! The universe listens and brings you back your tribe who will be there for you and listen to you and cheer for you!
